Who plays golf?

I've recently started to play again after a ten year absence so handicap is at 28 at the moment. Looking to fit two rounds in a week during the winter and more when the light nights are back. Same time I'll join a club as not worth it at the moment as I wouldn't play enough to justify the annual membership fee.

I'm off of 8 atm. Started again a year ago after not playing for 8 years. Looking to get down to about 5 by the summer next year.

Best thing over the winter is have a few lessons and go to the driving range a few nights a week and play saturday/sunday. Well, that's my plan anyway.

I got down to 2, but havn't played for a long time, bar an odd game here and there. I'm assuming I won't even have a handicap now if I rejoined my club, as it's been too long.

Brother is far, far better than me though

Would you consider driving to Oxfordshire to go to the driving range?

If i played a round now, i'd probably be off about 12, completely lost it.

My brother has played off scratch for 10 years now, when he doesn't play for 2-3 months at a time, he'll still play to that handicap, or better. I don't know how he can phsycially do it.

^^^ sounds familiar i played alot when i was younger but never took it very seriously, gave up when discovered beer and women and work when was 16. Started playing again about 4 or 5 years ago but only really manage 1 round a month with the local pub

play to around 14 handicap although my pub handicap is 9

Thinking about rejoing local club next year and aiming for an officail handicap of single figures.

Shouldnt be to hard if i manage to get time to play

That's the thing with golf, getting the time to play. It's easily 5 hours of your day gone if playing 18 holes Although fortunately I have a lot of time

I have never really played before. Hit a few balls at the driving range but didn't really know what I was doing. May see about getting some lessons over winter.

I play, but not very often, played more these last 2 months than i have in the last 5 years

My official handicap is 24, but my best ever round is 78.

I want to get down to low teens, and i think i can do that pretty easily if i just get consistent.
