why is my insurance so high!!! currently have a corsa 1.2 8v im 19 first car and passed my test in march.
iv been drivin about in the car paying 232 a month fully comp, now u will probs ask why i didnt go tpft?? the answer to this is it was only 200 less than fc!!! i cancelled the insurance last week bcoz i was paying waaaay too much.
iv tried getting better quotes with my mum as main driver but they still come up at tht price, gettin really sick of it tbh, mates first car was a 1.4 golf lives in the same street as me and his insurance is 1400!!! i mean cmon wtf has anyone else had this problem? and what did u do about it?

You've fucked yourself now.. You should have stuck it out for a year and your first years NCB would have brought it right down.
Also list your mum as a named driver so you can build your NCB.
Insurance is unreal at the moment, my friends sun is just learning to drive and he was quoted £2,200 for a 1.0 12v corsa!

They base the quotes on risk..
I'm 29, I've got three set of NCB and I've got two cars and a motorbike insured for less than a grand! (thats all of them together) Only because im considered a lower risk.

Im with Brentacre, X16XE with 130bhp limit and all mods declared, £1800 FC. Im 19, 1 years NCB and only been driving a year, Leeds postcode as well! I think thats a decent price for that really. Definitely worth ringing places than trying online.

Im with Quinn but switching to Brentacre as they seem like a far better company and know what they are talking about and a bit cheaper than my renewal quote i received last week from Quinn.
