removing exhaust would have been more hassle tbh, most of it is original system and will be rusted to feck

dont have any suitable bits left for my dremel
still none of the suggestion are attracting me more then the jack on the spanner which worked a treat

hook the ring end of another spanner round the open end for more leverage.

also if you read the thread you would note that the other side is equally as awkward with the petrol tank being in the way, or are you suggesting i remove the exhaust and petrol tank just to get these bolts off

Had a hard time with some 27mm wheel bolts on an old school rangerover and I had to do the same thing:

bit of penetrating oil whilst looking out tools

brute force. Looks to be plenty of room to get a decent length implament on the spanner to multiply the force
