If you think about it the tip is the most important part of your finger, without it they are pretty useless.. Unless of course he's left handed as atleast he can still tug one off.

well the tips have all the nerve endings in, yes. But he'll still be able to grab, hold and pick things up which is good. Much better than losing say half his finger in which case they'd be pretty much totally useless

saw a program on tv a bloke had the same sort of injury he put some special stuff on the fingers as they healed and they all grew back

An old friend i used to go about with got his arm stuck in a pastry break at his old work years ago.Mangled his arm,looked like a big shark bite.Dosnt have full use of his arm.
Waited about 4/5 years for a payout after the company went bust etc.Ended up with 85k.
Was all spent in a cpl of years on 106 Gti's and coke.

Then got a further £2.5k overdraft whih went the same way
