I very much doubt anyone will watch the whole thing, but it might interest some people.

Can you tick a box when you get a detail to ask not to spend so long taking pics and get on with the fucking job and stop waisting my money?

Someone tape it for us
Not so sure about the "live" idea, maybe one of those vids where they record all of it then speed it up so it's done in like 5-10 mins would be better

The person doing the detail isn't the same one taking the pics (normally), so it makes no difference.

If you think about the definition of studio, i think you'll agree that its a more appropriate word than garage.

I'm guessing it will be recorded and there will be a time-lapse version of it available to watch. Not 100% though.

If he can get away with calling it a studio, and charge more for that fact, fair play to him.
I think it sounds a bit gay, but then I wouldn't pay ££££ for a detail.

Studio
A workplace for the teaching or practice of an art - A lot of detailers consider it an art as there is a skill to it and the work increases aesthetic appeal.
An apartment with a living space and a bathroom and a small kitchen - There is a bathroom and a small kitchen. Also, the hours they work sometimes they could claim they live there
An artist’s or photographer’s workshop or the room in which an artist works - Tim Wallace (Aston Martin's photographer does work in there quite often).
A course with primary emphasis on student activity leading to skill development - Maybe not primary, but they do offer training to new employees there.
A room specially equipped for photography - A whole lot of photographs are taken there, and its always presented well so it looks good in photographs.

They hardly charge more just because they call it a studio Its all about company image etc.
Studio sounds better than garage/unit. People always dress things up a little.

Jesus Christ, you even believe it.
It's primary purpose is to work on cars = garage.
You even call the work correction. If you correct a car, you work on it, and you do this IN A GARAGE

If they called it a garage people would expect mechanical work to be carried out inside.
Also, that part of the forum in detailing world is called the studio so i'm sure thousands of people would disagree.
However, this is hardly the point of the thread

people store cars in buildings by there house with out working in them and still call them garages!
Its a garage!
Its not a art, its esentially cleaning and polishing a car or vehicle and that is it!
So thats why they charge so much as there employing one just to take pictures. makes it even worse than one guy stoping to fanny about and take them.

"Well thats my Monday off sorted then."
"Looking forward to this"
"darn it im working..."
