Michelin pilot sport cups, followed by continental contact sport 3s

I personally found eagle f1s terrible in the wet.

if you want a cheapish tyre, falken FK452s are great.

Im rolling on Michelin Pilot Exalto's on the 182, there awesome!! Not cheap like.

Had Eagle F1's and Contisports on the SRi Corsa, F1's were great in the wet and dry (road use) had the Conti's slip on the back end once.

But its coming to winter, and if it snows again like last year, F1's are SHOCKING, they just pack with snow, and effectifly like a slick. I ended up putting some budgets on for a couple of month to get me through the snow!

Main thing is different cars respond to different tyres in different ways. Perhaps people forget that?

One thing about pilot sport cup is they don't come with masses of tread so won't last long at all.

F1's for me too.

I actually have them as my wet set of wheels for track and general road tyres and can't fault them at all.

Uniroyal rainsport 2s, bit of a soft sidewall but I've yet to have the front wheels let go without meaning it. Excellent in the wet and dry and one of the more cheap tyres.

When I had my Corsa I started off with Kumho Ecsta's (utter shite, lethal in the wet, couldn't wait to get rid of them), had a couple of different types of Toyo Proxes (good in the dry, average in the wet) then settled on Goodyear Eagle F1's which were good in the dry and in the wet too.

On the A3 I have Michelin Pilot Sport 2's on the back and not long ago put some Pilot Sport 3's on the front.

I never thought they were anything special, about the same as hankooks I replaced them with.

Strongly disagree with the comment about the EF1s, on the XE I'd shite it before they let go in the wet. I'd have bought them again if I could afford them but the rainsports are almost as good.

Fair enough mate, I've got 4 on just now and I can't fault them.

That came out wrong, they were far from a bad tyre but just not amazing.

It's funny how people's opinions of tyres vary so wildly
