Why is it that you cant use them in hospitals exactly? Its clearly not to do with interfering with equipment as phones are operating at digital frequencies now as opposed to radio frequency.

Phones still use radio waves.

They don't really interfere with anything though.

When i last went back to the 1920's there was no signs up to say i couldnt use one.

The last twice I've been in hospitals I've made a point of switching my phone off. Just to see the orderlys/ nurses talking on theirs, boils my piss.

The radio waves can affect some of the monitoring equipment. I think the ban was lifted in most parts of hospitals now, But some parts are still banned due to the equipment.

There were signs on the wall telling you to switch off all mobile phones. I did. People who are working there didn't. Why do I need to switch mine off when they don't?

Over a year and a half ago you were allowed phones in hospital, they just ask it to be on silent

The hospital I work at says phones must be off... everyone just ignores it though

I was definetely in one in the last 18 months and there were definetely signs to switch it off completely.

my dad was allowed to use his phone at the bedside of my brother in intensive care.

the only thing they said is can it please be on silent because other people were asleep, the codgers.

not sure if we are allowed to use them in rotherham hospital, but i couldnt have used mine anyway, i was layed in a&e for 4 hours on my own with 2 phones on different networks and i couldnt get 1 bar of signal on any, wasnt impressed

I work in a hospital and carry mine as does everyone else. Keep it on silent though
