Yes, its happening
Pumping up the looks on this Opel-badged model are a big rear wing, bulging arches and a lower front spoiler than on the standard VXR. The triangular central tailpipe has also made way for a pair of big bore exhausts – but a spokesman said the 1.6-litre turbo will remain unmodified.
The revised suspension is lower and stiffer than the regular model’s. Wider, grippier tyres also feature as standard. The sizzling special will benefit from the same styling tweaks as other Corsas, as part of an update across the range before the end of the year. There’s no official word on price yet, but the car is expected to cost around £19,500 at launch next summer.

It won;t be stripped out on the interior.
However all the mods you can see (wheels, lowered , brembos , front splitter , Bastuck OE twin pipe etc ) will be on the car. Plus a few you can't see
More details in the spring , you'll be the first to know the final spec.......
We were going to allow all the usual colours. But what about the orange in the pics? there is also a metallic lime green available too?

Nope depends on a few things, like the final supplier for the suspension, this car is running an adjustable set up that is just too dear, so it'll be lowered etc but not adjustable. Equally the wheels being used are specific due to offset at rear so we're awaiting the final bill for them - tho they will be drop forged jobbies so nice and lightweight. And we're seeing if we can colour key the rear of the seats to the bodycolour....good idea or not?

The clio route was looked at but the rebuild on the shocks was something we didn;t want to get into. But I will let everyone know the spec of the shocks/spring rate.

More info on Astra J VXR as well
Drove that too. The hyper strut front end gives the car a totally different front end feel, lsd curbed the understeer nicely - its mechanical not electric as the press seem to think.
Its significantly faster round the ring than the old car. Engine is a peach tho in development form its all whooshes bangs and whistles....which we're ironing out sorry....
Lot more detail will be out in the spring and pics of the final look summertime ish.

Yes, if you want up to date info on anything to do with VXR's get on VXRonline and rear posts by 'Dougie' and 'vxr mothership'
Anything they say is what is happening and it's usually about a month ahead of anything you read or see in the motoring press.

That looks hard. I like the colour too. What's it going to be like in the back with no rear seats? Carpeted out? Roll cage?

FFS Are you talking about the Corsa or the Astra
The Corsa will prob just be 205bhp like the slightly tuned engine in the Westfield.
The new Astra VXR will be 295bhp.
