Not seen the new ones much but when I brought my macbook pro I had a look a the air but it was about £300 more for the same spec and it was thinner but not that it would realistically make a difference when your lugging it about. Heard stories of overheating too

Best time to buy mac/books is on the days of refreshes as you can save £400/500 easy on getting the previous model, or get a better spec previous model for the same price as a base spec new model etc

nothing wrong with OSX, yes it takes time to get used to if you've been using windows for years, hell I'd been using windows getting on for over 15 years in it's various guises before moving to mac and I wouldn't look back. Best thing I ever did was moving to mac.

Pros- it's got a light up apple on the cover so you'll look cool.

Cons- you'll pay twice what its worth because it's got a cool light up apple on that makes you look cool
