hi been a member for a while now and thought i should post a build thread also SRI LEE told me to a while back now

heres a few pics of my previous vauxs iv had since the age of 17

my nova sri

my lovely cavvy sri

had a lot of others but they wernt vauxhalls or worthy of pictures

anyway i was looking for a new car and found this little gem, a W plate 1.6 sport with one owner from with 86,000 miles very clean and just had new brakes and tyres all round. Also had 12 months ticket and tax so i snapped her up.

had the car a few days and lowered her 60mm front and 50mm rear with some opel springs off ebay.de

cleaned her up using clay bar, polish and wax to finish came up rather nice
also de badged the sides then the boot at a later date

Then i just kept browsing german ebay and found a few bits i liked so i snapped them up
Some irmscher flying chip badges, and some german rear lights which i won for £40 delivered

Anyway they stayed in my room for the time being whilst i got busy searching for some wheels, a couple of days searching and a lad off here had some gsi fans (Sumyh - top lad) so i drove to get them,

Got the wheels and gave them a sand down and filled up any imperfections

Then a couple of coats of gloss black and a final laquer

By this time funds were low as i soon found out running a car again that was quite thirsty for town driving

After a bit of hard graft and saving i finally had money for tyres woop woop. So i ordered 4 kumho ku31s for the wheels and i also bought some 80mm rear springs off pazz who does the custom jobbies

size difference

tyres ready for fitting

Got the wheels back and went to my garage for a tidy up and fit the wheels

got a bonnet bra thanks to the g/f to fit as my bonnet is chipped badly grille upwards

finally happy ...well for now theres loads more i want to do so i will be updating the thread as i go along

next on my list of to-dos,
-decent coilovers
-lexmaul inlet
-4-2-1
-powerflow cat back system
-calibra cream leathers with a custom rear bench trim(done by ye old faithfull nan)
-finally get round to making a decent install with the loudest.com components and sub
-by a decent camera to make my thread better

(sorry for the oddsize shite pics my phones seems to do this god knows why)

comments either way welcome cheers

Yeah i know it wont be to everyones taste but i love it atm and i think cream leather will go very well with a matching handbrake and gear gaitor. It will be all trial and error iv got it into my head now so im going to go through with it and if i dont like it ill change it

Jst a small update today

had an early finish today so went up the local scrappy

had a scan about then in the corner found two depo standard headlights so thought perfect for a tenner why not!

got them home and thought why not make them into Proper depo lights they had depo on the front so no one could tell

anyway first stage oven bake mother was not happy when she returned from work to see me lights on gas mark 1!

out and prized open

the glue is seriously messy cant belive how sealed these units were took an average of 15 mins in oven to get them opend easily without any damage too the backing

Next up i prepped and primerd the inserts in my room (lovely smell)

then put in the airing cuboard for an hour till they were nice and dry
scratched off with a bit of 800 then ready for the black

then these were left to dry and laquered
Whilst they were drying i took the time to soak the lenses in hot water and washing liquid so i had nice shiny glass

then i fitted all the units together and sealed them up with tiger seal

nice and easy depos! in all took about 45mins to do excluding drying time and they look the nuts and have the added bonus they say depo on them. going to get them fitted tomorrow and take pictures

also fitted some new dash lights tonight of light-tec and frankly there shite!! so will be going to vauxhall to get some proper replacements soon.
