Tony McCoy
Phil Taylor
Graeme McDowell
Lee Westwood
Jessica Ennis
Tom Daley
Amy Williams
Graeme Swann
Mark Cavendish
David Haye
Imo it has to go to McDowell. No way can it possibly be Haye after that shamble with Fraudley. Can't really think of other reasons why the others are there as they haven't done anything? McCoy won the national but that's it?

McCoy winning the national this year meant he's won all he could in his sport didnt it? That's a fair achievement
Cavendish has had a great year, most tour de france stage wins for an englishman I think (?), Ennis has excelled in her (track and) field this year. Williams won the first single female gold at winter olympics for years (or maybe ever (?))
Swann actually has a personality, and he's done all right too I spose.
Bit tougher this year with no footballers. Can't believe Paul Scholes isn't nominated
I agree it should be either of the golfers though I think, Westwood getting to no.1 could swing it

Its a shame this award has gone away from Sports PERSONALITY to best sportsman.
Half of the people on the lists are not personalities at all. Interviews very medeoka, nothing special, certainly not the personality of the year

Which is why Graeme Swann should win. He is a mentalist. He got caught drink driving, tiny bit over the limit, and his excuse was that he needed to get to B&Q to buy a hammer as his cat was stuck under the floorboards at home

He's Paul Scholes, didn't you see the amount of bumming he got from every single person in the country at the start of the season? And he's old, so obviously, like Giggs, he deserves it

3. Jessica Ennis 62,953 (9.02)
4. Lee Westwood 58,640 (8.4)
5. Graeme McDowell 52,108 (7.46)
6. Tom Daley 50,763 (7.27%)

I actually thought it would have been McCoy, Westwood and then Haye.
How very wrong looking at that!
