Go and look at it to tell if it's been in a crash before.

Service history you've got no chance unless you know where it may have been serviced and get them to look it up.

dealers may have a record of it if its been done with them service wise

Other then that HPI report will tell you if its been written off etc. But its a bit late now if you already own it

smetimes if the repair is bad. for example i was looking at a front end picture of a golf vr6 i wanted to buy, done a hpi and it came back all clear but the front end looked very slightly pissed, done another hpi using a different site and it came back as a cat c. if you're finnicky about paint and bodywork you tend to notice

A perfect example of how people see things differently is bumpers on modern cars, most people don't seem to notice, they are a mile off though.

Trust me i know what to look for on a car, i know if a cars had a repair or not. But looking ad a car, if its done right, chances are you wouldnt know if it had a front end of bolt on parts on it.

In the flesh, I've yet to see a repair that I couldn't tell, if one comes along that fools me I'll let you know.

That doesn't make sense because if it fooled me I wouldn't know

I bet at least 70% of cars on the road have had a repair. Bet you couldnt spot them all.

Dont bother letting me know, i dont really need to know.

John - if you dobt notice a repair, how would you know if its been repaired or not. I agree i bet you couldnt tell on every car... Not to say that you couldnt tell on a majority
