ive always loved them, then test drove a full fat 172 nd went off them. i had a modded saxo at the time though and was comparing it to that. ive since noticed (yesterday to be precise) that the 182's with cup packs are a bargain now, ie; http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2224874.htm
might fuck off the let conversion and just buy one of these, will be a lot cheaper overall
i joined cliosport ages ago but never really got on with it, so does anyone know what sort of power you can get from these?

Thats about an average price for a silver one. Silver ones are usually cheaper.

Mines standard. Mate of mine had a charged 172 running 253bhp. Was a bit of an animal! Forged internals and charged can see 350+

i like the silver ones, they look subtle. blacks nice but im never buying a black car ever again. orange and yellow are ace but seem rare and comand a premium and metallic blue is too common.
probably a silver one for me

Was gonna say do you fancy a deal but if you dont want black i wont bother.

What blue do you mean? Mettalic Blue? Or the Baby blue (Gordini)

My mate sold an orange full fat on a 54 18 month ago, was Cat D, only had 23k, sold it for £3500, all others at the time were doing £6k +

id hope to get about £2.5k for my corsa, and wouldnt want to put more than £1.5k to it as insurance would be another £700.
i usually borrow money of the old man when its new car time and he wouldnt normally lend me more than a couple of k.
is the trophy worth me sacrificing my social life for 6 months rather than just buying a normal 182

Depend if you want the Recaro's, allthough not all Trophys have them anyway. Only other difference is the wheels, suspension and spoiler, maybe few other bits.

The Gordini blue is stunning. If you had seen the damage, you would have bought it, was sooo minimal, guy must have just been a proper anal bastard and not wanted it back, had a rear bumper, rear panel and a dent repaired on the tailgate.

Do a deal on mine

The shell is far from flimsy. Try jacking one up!

I wouldn't bother tuning one unless you are after a sleeper motorway hunter. Just get a scoob or ev

id be happy with a standard one, just wanna work out what tuning options are out there. will probably get an exhaust and filter and leave it at that.

now whats this about the belts, ive seen people mention its a nightmare job that needs specialists etc. whats so special about them?

Only NASA scientist can do them

Belts are a bit of a twat with the space in the engine bay, iirc got to lift engine up to unto a tensioner, and drop it down to do another or something like that.

As for tuning, without Charging/Turboing/TB's, your not going to get BIG gains, best you can do really is decat back exhaust, decent filter, matched inlets, RSTuner. As standard they are not 182bhp though.

i thought that, a cambelt is a cambelt. is it just harder to do right because of a lack of space?

As far as i know yeah. And i think you need some special tools that are unique to the Clio's, unsure on that though! Renault charge somwhere near £800 for belts doing.

Got reciept with mine, was £250 for labour.
