I live in a converted house ( now 5 apartments) almost opposite a church. The driveway has 5 designated spaces but enough space to fit about 12 cars.
Obviously during the day, most of us go to work. My gf is currently there and watching as people park in the driveway and wander over to the church as if nothing was out of place.
Now fair enough, I'm not there so don't need the space, but say I was on my way home and couldn't get in to my drive, i'd be proper pissed.
Do I stick a polite letter in the church asking people not to do it out of principal, or just get over it ?

I've asked my gf to but apparently its chucking down with rain, plus I don't think she would be very good in confrontation tbh.

Can't ellis, it's a gravel driveway, you can get into my space at both ends or parallel park in so would need 3.

tbf if they are there when you get back break the guns out and beat them till the move there car, or just pick it up and move it yourself, park up and watch them as they wonder how the funk you moved their car.
but could possible ask the church bloke to tell people to stop parking.
oh alternatively move to stoke where you dont have that problem they just steal your car not the space.

I would do 3cm but i'm never there when it happens. It's more out of principal, plus its not nice for my gf to see random people walking into the driveway all day.

I would have polite word with the vicar, who could mention to his congregatio or put up a polite notice in the church.

Or put a clamping sign up and charge them £20 to undo it when you get home

So in short its not wrong that i'm slightly pissed they are using my driveway during the day ?
I think sign and a note to the church is going to be the way forward. If that fails, Matt L's plan

i think speaking to the folk in the church would be better as you could put notes on windscreens and then next time it could be different folk that park there meaning puting more notes on windscreens

Just do this anyway tbh
But yeah, if someone is in your space when you get back I would block them in then they can come to you. Alternatively, speak to church dude as other people said.

put up a hidden clamping sign, then buy a wheel clamp and charge them a release fee. Oh, and give them a lecture on dinosaurs.
or stick these on their cars:

Its hard to block them in though, there are 2 entrances, and my space is right on the end. Best pic I have to explain is :
The spaces are huge, and unless someone is parked in tight behind them I wouldn't be able to block them from getting out the other entrance.

do a wheel spin passed the chuch at 6am blasting your horn.
has more effect if you do this in a Corrado tbh, so if you can borrow one even better
