well ive got a c16se engine in my corsa with a f13 gearbox , put power down cars was moving fine at first and car just revved up and i have now lost all gears its selecting them but not moving when clutch is let out any ideas anyone ?? thanks in advance

i would say its the clutch mate, take it off and have a look if its worn and if its not then you have the box off anyway to swap it for a good one

i was told could be the diff as the power off the c16 is to much for the 1.2 geabox

have your tried shacking the shaft? as the boot could be holding it all together.. whats happens if you put it in gear turned off then start it with the clutch up?

i put it into gear took handbrake and it just rolled also when started in gear just does nothing as if its in neutral

yanked the drive shafts on both sides and they seem fine

but when i put into reverse selects reverse like lights come and grinds into it but doesnt actually move

how could u think its a cv tho ?? as it had power put down and then all of a sudden just revve dup as tho its knocked itself out of gear

if cv goes it will just spinn the diff and wont put power down

so cud be just new driveshaft jobbie ?? , im just going to expect the worse i no it cant be clutch as thats too good would you say the power of a c16se be to much for 1.2 gearbox , also how would the cv bein fucked stop it moving because they have 2 driveshafts so wouldnt it move on the other

Hasn't got LSD so it'll send power to the wheel with the least traction

ahh get you but if the cv is fuked on one side wouldnt it send power to the other one ? also when i put it into reverse i can hear it making a noise like to things are grinding together when i let clutch out ?

wont need full shaft.. take the cv off (thats if it is the cv) n change that.. just see if the shaft has play
