New Stadium = back to our original home of 1905
http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/sport/football/8795809.Palace_announce_relocation_plans/
Which would rule Spurs out the running for the Olympic stadium as this is what they were going to redevelop as part of the deal. Plans are revealed on Thursday afternoon & aslong as there is no running track when we move in I'll be happy with that!
I know none of you care, but
New owners = Legends
Edit: first images.25000 rising too 40000

We're apparently planning to knock it down & build a 30,000 seater stadium with roof. Can't wait to see the plans, announced at 15.00

Crazy, you can't fill your current stadium.

Because its 2000 years old. Stats show new stadiums bring increased attendance. This will be smaller than selhurst initially until "we know where were at".

Pft, if I could have Filbert Street back I would. New stadiums take the atmousphere away. Old stadiums FTW.

For a new stadium it doesnt actually look that bad. Problem is it will probably be like all new stadiums and cater for the "modern football fan".
I dont think ive been to a single "new" style stadium that ive liked. They are all too nicey nicey, hardly intimidating at all.
Best ground I've been to recently is Luton, you feel like you could be killed at any moment and the stands are all random as hell

Never been to selhurst then? its unsafe and our biggest stand is sinking slowly. We can't touch the main stand and that's held up by blutac. Can't build on family stand cos sainsburys is underneath it. I love selhurst but a change will be awesome!

That was a quality ground. Havent been to the Walkers but it looks like every other new ground and i bet its nothing compared to Filbert Street.
Was talking about this to my mate on the way down to Histon. I dont think there is one "new" ground id rather go to over the old ones
The Dell > St Marys
Filbert Street > Walkers
Boothferry Park > KC Stadium
Highfield Road > Ricoh Arena
Old Wembley >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> New Wembley
Elm Park > Madejski Stadium
Springfield Road > JJB
I could go on forever

So is our away stand, which means we will have to move soon and im going to fucking hate it as i know it will be some concrete, out of the city centre, retail ground
Unsafe is awesome, have you even been to Kenilworth Road? It looks like it could fall down any second

It is purely because its as intimidating as fuck Its stands are steep and narrow with fuck all leg room (especially in oak road, i challenge anyone over 5ft tall to actually sit in the seats)
Then theres where it is, in the middle of all the worst things in the world. Terraced houses, drugs, crime, black people...
And you go in through someones back garden
You just never get this character with new grounds. There is nothing intimidating about lots of parking spaces, a tesco and a wetherspoons.

Yeah can see exactly what you all mean. But needs must and they could've made a complete hash of it being so new to the game, but they've got the perfect location & are not being silly about it. 25000 to start with then permission to raise that to 40000 when we reach the premiership & have stayed up a few seasons.
Our new owners are a breath of fresh air, which other owners come on all the fans forums answering question & taking part in all the banter, after saving our club from non-existence then announcing a new 40,000 seater stadium. If I could bum fuck them I would.
Edit: All they need to do is call it The Nest and they'll be full on legends. If they sell the name to a sponsor

£40 million for 25000 & £90 million for 40000
Just watched the interview on sky sports, the main stand has been there since 1924 with no significant upgrade or repair. Didn't think it was that old tbh!

Stats will also probably show they attrract a massive amount of window lickers who have no idea about Football but attend as they think it is some sort of live theatre event.
