Since January last year iv had:

Astra Gsi

to

Vxr turbo Exhaust + Map = 256bhp 317lbft

Opinion of the car - Very bland, boring to drive - felt lifeless, terrible on fuel

Coupe SE 1.8

Opinion of the car - much nicer to drive than the gsi (longer wheel base?) good on fuel not a bad car

Astra 1.9 Sri

200bhp/300lbft

Vauxhall sorted it out with the H! drives 20x nice than the G in everyway, great car and quick

Very nice group of cars. Ive had a mk4 astra 1.6 and thought the same as your comment about the gsi. After sticking nearly 30k on in 2 years i think i may have to look at a diesel next, even though i'd love something like a VXR or petrol muncher

Astra GSi is still my favourite just because the fun we had around Lydden
Do like the Astra H though I think if I had to have a Diesel that would be it.

I think the H is ergonomically worse than my G was, buttons not as easy to use, not as easy to find. Electric windows are a nightmare with four switches, I'm fovever opening the back ones for no reason. Ignition barrel location needs finding and of course the indicators are an acquired taste which I'm yet to obtain.

Does drive nicer though, granted.

every vauxhall i've driven feels the same as a corsa B to me.

the way they accelerate, the way they feel inside, the brakes, the annoying noises, the engine smell, door handles, they are all the same cars just a bit bigger or smaller, or they put a 2.0 turbo in and call it a range topper

the Twintop window button are annoying i give you that! lucky i dont have rear windows!lol

handling to much sharper/responsive, never had a problem with the igntion barrel but indicators CAN be annoying !
