Im trying to get the best deal with money being tight this year, now i have searched Confused.com, compare the market, moneysupermarket, go compare and the cheapest price is still £1600 on my golf.

Now can anyone tell me the best way they brought there cost down? what company did you get your cheapest quote from?

Have a play with adding people, changing where it's parked, increasing excess etc.

Some tips:

Add some older drivers as named drivers, they bring it down A LOT. My Mum and Dad as named drivers save me a good £300.

Park it on the driveway or street

Play with your job description

Play them off against each other too, say your best quote is £900 or something similar - can they do better? 9 times out of 10 they will undercut it

Cheers guys. Great help.

I think it would be useful for this site to sticky or have a guide on insurance. (if there isn't one already)
