rotting arches

fuel filler surround is starting to go

bottom of back panel is going too

is it fixable?

I know you wanted a car to practise welding on, but I think you're throwing yourself in at the deep end there a bit!

If you're aiming to fix it to make it road legal whilst getting some practise out of it, I'd probably look at a different shell that's less rotten.

If you're looking at just using it to practise on (a lot!) and are happy to scrap it afterwards, then crack on with this one.

That's what I'd do if it were me anyway

Is it a pre97?

If you are able to fix it to a good standard and seems worth it, do it.

TBH its not all that much to do, practice on some scrap metal before you do arches and quarter but floor dosent matter all that much aslong as you get good penetration. personally i think people get scared at the thought of rust, fair enough if you cant weld but if you want to learn like you say you do just do it. if it comes out crap, cut it out and do it again.
