dissapointed in the result!
its almost just as visable as it was before its been.... well i wont say repaired... filled up with some form of resin.
looks bad from the inside and is still very noticable from the outside.
im glad im fully comp and did not have to pay for this as if he asked for money i would have told him to jog on.
might have to end up getting a new windscreen as its just going to bug me every moment im in my car

It's to stop the window cracking, it was obviously never going to be perfect

They changed the windscreen last week on my car. When I washed it the next day, there was water pissing out of the back of the glove box. When I had a look, the daft twat hadn't clipped the trim at the top of the scuttle in properly so water ran behind it rather than into the soak away. I just had a courtesy call from them and I had a moan!

Before they did mine they explained it would exactly the same, and that it may in fact crack while they were repairing it, and made me sign a sheet that said I understood this and they would not cover the cost of a new windscreen if it broke.
They also made me sign another sheet when it was done

i have worked for autoglass and auto windscreens. the only reason for a repair is to make the screen safe, not to make it look pretty. thats why they are free to you as it saves the insurance paying for a new screen, your excess may only be 70 odd quid but the insurance will pay a lot more

Did that annoying twat gavin turn up?
Had one done on the Saxo by them. Learn't the best way is just to put a Hammer through the windscreen than get this done!

My sister had one fixed and it didn't look any different. The adverts are misleading imo.
As long as it doesn't crack, thats the main thing.

When I had my windscreen replaced, the guy said not to clean it for a few days.

My mum had a repair done on a chip in her windscreen, it looks quite poor tbh. I don't want to make Steve wave arms about so I'll say I know it's not supposed to be pretty, but as several other people have said the adverts make it look like it'll be completely gone and that just isn't the case.
Necro - That's fine, but eve if he had left it a few days it wouldn't mean the trim would clip itself back in

I wonder if they are being trained correctly. We used to have an old bloke come round our garage and fill in chips once a week and his results were outstanding, you could only see a tiny matte dot the size of a pin head once he had finished. I dont know if they use the same equipment but this guys device for filling them in was work in the region of £3000

unless he works for autoglass and has one of their kits it wont be £3000. most people use a esprit kit which is around £500 and tbh i get better results with that than i did with the autoglass shit
