I heard about this, apparently no modifications need to be made to a car for it to work.
It might be cheap, but then again petrol would only be 45p a litre if it wasn't for tax

Woo, and yeah no doubt taxes will ruin it still.. Although wouldn't that mean road tax would be cheaper if there were no emissions?

based on how they currently calculate road tax, it would be free. i have no doubts that would change immediately

It'll be 19p a litre, sure, but thats before the 80% tax they'll chuck on top I bet.

Won't all the water that it makes after burning wreck most exhausts? If not great idea but as said shit load of tax will be added to the final price so probs cost just as much it'll just be more green

When you burn oil one of the chemicals produced is water and exhausts seem to do ok with that. If too much moisture in the exhaust is the only issue then you're laughing anyway as there are plenty of ways to sort that

Water would fuck a catalytic converter probably, if it's running on hydrogen there's no need for one. As long as the exhaust's rust treated it'd be fine.

If there was no emissions being produced you wouldn't need a cat

Its legal up to 2500L a year, NO DUTY
Also used/waste veg oil is WVO
Bio-deisel is different as its chemically changed into a thinner veg oil, as WVO is pretty thick.

Depends what injection pump and if its common rail too, you can get shit injector pumps that hate the extra viscosity and common rails are a big no no.

Oil also gets too cold in the winter and is prone to freezing. I gave it a go in my car and ended up having to dilute it loads as cold starting was a bit smokey!
