Any recommendations of places to go/steer clear of?

Steer clear of the financial and housing markets.

Deans gate (I think is the name, not the one in Manchester) is the pricey bar zone and it's no exaggeration. It was well over 5 euros a pint when I was there although that was 2008 before their economy landed properly in the can.

Temple Bar is fucking expensive. I went 2/3 years back and pints were costing as much as £7.

I am actually going to Dublin tomorrow for 3 nights.

Looking on a few websites seems a half decent meal can be had for €10 and loads of places appear to have pints costing €4-6.

I had £250 in mind so that's good to hear.

Fly to Belfast then getting a cab to Dublin with Ryanair isnt it?

I looked at Ryanair flights for when I go to Barcelona next month. They seemed cheap till I realised it was Genoa airport, or somin like that, which is about 100 miles away
