MediaCAT, a firm which has sent thousands of letters to alleged illegal file-sharers in the UK, has ceased trading, according to its law firm.

It follows the resignation of Andrew Crossley, who heads the law firm that pursued alleged file-sharers on its behalf.

Mr Crossley resigned during a court hearing, brought against 27 alleged illegal file-sharers.

Snobs, 700mb is perfectly watchable on a monitor or using an upscaling usb player.

Prefer .mkv files though.

MKV is just a container, doesn't mean anything in terms of quality

Yeah Yeah, but most are 1.5gb plus so quality is in general better.

What they're ripped from doesnt make an ounce of difference.
The fact that its been ripped from a 45gb+ bluray disk and downscaled to a 1GB file means it will be less than satisfactory (IMO/experience) when viewing on a decent and large screen.

An average 720p film will be approx 4gb, a 1080p film will be 6-10gb with a decent bluray 20+.

I can't be arsed downloading large files. 700-1gb is what I stick to and I have a quick connection

I don't notice much difference on a 1080p tv screen.

Orange Wednesdays for 2 for 1 cinema tickets, and DVDs suit me fine.

I only "purchase" software online on occasion - fuck downloading shitloads of gigabytes of movies that you'll probably only ever watch once or twice!
