I saw a petrol station that was 80p a litre not long ago, I was happy until I realised it had closed down a while ago and the sign just hadn't been removed

I'm loving it so far. The fact that it averages about 20mpg doesn't really bother me. Seen it down as low as 6.4mpg once or twice too.

It nearly died yesterday when I popped off the M4 to top up and saw a BP with 142.9 on the price sign for diesel. Thinking fuck that, I jumped back on the M4 and got off at the next services and filled up at 132.9

No possibly way they were selling it for 98p/l.
It would be the most popular petrol station in the country.

It was at night actually. Played the fuel light lottery a bit, would have held on for longer had I not been carrying a passenger!

And it would be impossible, since tax and petrol duty is 80p + 40p to the petrol company, and then 5p to the petrol station, so unless they were evading tax and making a massive profit

Services feel the need to rip people off even more than we already are though.

Dunno. Thats the first time i've ever really notice the price of it.
Theres only 2 places in aberdeen that sell it and 1 place 6 miles down the road so I can't be too picky either lol.

Their excuse was, "We are open 24/7 and so need to pay the maintenance, as well as staff for this, and to afford this we need to put prices up"

They can sod off, my local tesco is open 24hrs and they dont charge me a quid for a sodding mars bar!
The one that pisses me off no end are the KFC / Burger king etc etc, how can they justify putting the prices up just because its on a motorway? it says on the tv i get this for x amount, how do they get to put the prices up?
I fucking hate motorway services and all their cunting shops.
