took my powerbox off again today. notced that the flange (where it attaches to the lower inlet) is sunk in quite badly. this is evidently why its sucking in too much air anyway i could fix it or is it buy a new box time? ive tried using 2 gaskets but nooo luck

you could pull it back out flat and then either weld another flange onto it to give it double strength or weld in/put some long spacers in there for the bolt to go through so it places pressure on the bolt only not crushes the box again.

makes no sense trying to explain it but you may know what i mean.

put the box in a vice (not too tight as it looks like its made out of cheese so will probably end up flat) and use a bodywork puller/slide hammer to tap if all out slowly?

Flame's inlet manifolds are known to do that as they are a tad too thin. There is another version of them on ebay made by someone else and the metal is much thicker, they're £160 though.

Easy fix.

If you do something like that and tighten the nuts up on all 4 holes at the same time it should pull it straight.

May need to put a spacer at each end of the box where the bar would sit on to pull it past straight and spring back to how you want it.

That might only work if you put a spacer under each end and actually pull it out a tad too far Gary, I reckon that just pulling it up against that bar flat to the box wouldn't be enough.

I'd be cutting the buckled side off and just replacing it with a bit of 4 or 5mm plate.

All these aluminium copies seem to be pretty poorly made and made from shite materials. I don't think bending it straight will really help you in the long run.

I had a flame inlet and it was great, maybe standards have slipped.
