just in the past few days a problem has been developing with the running of the XE in my corsa.

problem: when you try and accelerate from low revs it splutters until you get to a certain point then it goes as good as it ever did. you notice it most when pulling away from a stop on a hill. you pull away and then it just bogs down until you get up the revs slighty then it goes fine.

it will do it in every gear when your driving normally and just changing gear at low revs and using the torque to build up speed. but if you drive it fast you don't notice it just seems to be when its on load at low revs?

its seems to be alot better first thing in the morning tho when its cold ( on choke) but as soon as it gets warmed up its starts doing it again.

the car got new plugs and leads about 4 months ago and the AFM is resonably new aswell so wouldn't of thought they would be to blame.

fueling issue possible??

any help would be great thanks.

to be honest it could be a number of things, have you tried reading the fault codes?

Coolant temp sensor is a likely culprit, about £3 from motor factor

I've had the same sort of problem you're having mate, a new fuel pump relay's sorted it. Same as in was only doing it when hot and only at low revs - if I was driving in traffic it'd mis-fire and hesitate like a cunt but if I was able to open it up it'd go fine.

Take fuel rail off and give it a clean out and also clean the injectors

Couldn't hurt benn, but if it only does it when hot that would indicate it's not just shite on the injectors.

its not the injectors imo for that very reason. has to be electrical for it too only be like this when hot.

If it only does it when hot, I'd agree with Archie and say CTS - I had this exact problem with my 1.6 Sport, and that fixed it.
