Nothing against him staying at all while he's still making a useful contribution. He changed the game for us when he came on at Blackpool.

TBH i am glad he is staying for another season, he still has the ability to change games all by himself, he is near irreplaceable.
Also he has to be the most successful player in club football?

Certainly English football, he over took Phil Neal a while back.

Suppose it depends how you equate success.
Maldini won the Champions League 5 times, for example.

I dont think he is far off being the most decorated footballer in the world. Sure he is about 1 or 2 trophies away from it.

I think Vidic has been more consistent, he's an absolute beast this season. Dread to think where we would be without him.

although he's a brilliant player and changes games when he comes on, i can't help but feel united are depending on the older lads too much and not investing in their future properly.
we had a chat at work about this and come to the conclusion that while giggs is still playing, youngsters aren't getting the ability to improve and become 'premier league' worthy.
i've got nothing against the guy as he is a great footballer.

As a United Fan i agree that we are relying on the older players, But watching the Blackpool & Southampton game's where we started with Gibson & Obertan they just proved they don't have the quality to be playing at that level on their own yet.

I'd argue the opposite to an extent. Having Giggs around is only a good thing for the youngsters. He is the ultimate Pro and all Fergie has to say to the youngsters is, 'watch and learn'.

true, but letting the players go onto the pitch and developing and maturing is also good for them.
look at arsenal and the youngsters they've developed.

Which Youngster's do you mean specifically Ben?
I don't think we have many capable enough to make that leap into the 1st team right now, asie from Cleverley maybe.

I think history tells you Fergie will cycle the squad at the perfect time.
The old guard will pass the baton on and then it'll start off all over again with a new breed of youngsters. The Beckham, Neville's, Scholes, Butt era is still probably the best batch United have had.

Well next season i can See Cleverley & Welbeck being inducted into our 1st team as they have both particularly impressed me this year whilst out on loan.
TBH i was quite sad to see Eikram go with Solskjaer to Mole as he was sposed to be our best young talent but I can see Morrison, Tunnicliffe, Pogba & Petrucci all becoming decent players over the next couple of seasons
