Today I picked up my new Audi (57) A3 TDi 170 S-line Sportback, and what a lovely car it is!

Got a few extras from the looks of it and love the mauritius blue.

Its 1 owner from new and FASH, what do you reckon

Lovely mate.

Can I ask roughly how much it was? I am tempted to trade the Zed in for something like this after the summer

Yep - same engine as the Octavia vRS TDi, and the Seat Leon FR TDi.

Edit - spelling fail...

My mate just bought a 140 DSG, he said the 170's are worse for tuning, something about injectors being different?

Did you do the head check? Apparently big issue on the 2.0 TDI's, most were replaced but some escaped etc...

140's map to around 190-200bhp apparently.

When I had my vRS, I was looking at getting it done - was getting estimates of increases to between 200-220b, and around 310-330lb.ft IIRC

Never did in the end though

Standard figures are 168bhp/258lb.ft, again, IIRC...

Great looking, fast, economical, reliable, can seat 5 and still carry stuff in the boot - what else could you want from a car!

Was that very car sat in the Cascades this weekend next to a Zafira that Imperial were promoting?

Imperial are the biggest used car buyer in Hampshire at the minute. Banging out loads of ex-lease cars.

they dont map to 310lbs/ft

Normally 290 to 300 max

IMO the 140 is a better drive as its smoother delivery and less noisey

Never driven a remap one though

Lovely car

Its as good as tbf. Longer wheelbase, more luggage space. If thats not the definition of an estate I don't know what is.

I used to have a 170 with bluefin remap, totally transformed the car having that remap done. I only regret not having it done sooner. Claimed 200bhp and 313 lb/ft torque and certainly felt like it had it too! Cracking car

They have the same wheelbase as the 3 door and the boot is marginally bigger and I mean very marginally. All you get with the Sportback is the convenience of a rear pair of doors.

Fantastic car. They are so pleasant to drive. I know that sounds odd but owning one you must know what I mean, smooth, comfy.
I love the steering wheel as well, first thing I noticed in these, again really comfy and perfect size. Quite small for a standard steering wheel
