Id go for at least a 25 litre, last thing you want is to get half way through painting and loose pressure and it spit and fart paint out.

havent tryed painting the roof yet, but it can run a spray gun, ive just painted my mates bumpers with the same compressor, its a strong little thing for the size, never let me down, ideal for small diy jobs,

As for paint, just type in 2 pack paint on ebay, loads on there who will mix up paint to color codes.

Woulnd't even bother with a 6 litre compressor it won't have enough constant air flowing to paint panels and bumpers.

Any compressor will be fine tbf , yh the bigger the better but the thing is , if you set the regulator to 3 bar then when it begins to run low on air the compressor will kick in and it wont go below 3 bar , i should be doin my roof next week mate hopefully so ill post sum pics up of the results , iv borrowed the compressor of the father inlaw and he sai he has ran everything off it and its not a massive compressor tbf , if you spray anything before me with a little compressor shoiw me the results mate will be big help and will save me buying a big ass compressor lol

50 Litre compressor or bigger, trust me don't waste your time and money on a 6 litre it will not work, people use 6 litre compressors for airbrushing not painting cars.

6 litres will be TINY? You sure you got that right? Unless its some fancy Hydrovane or something I wouldnt bother wasting the money on the paint and gun.
I run a 25 litre compressor for painting which is too small *BUT* its got £500 worth of Hydrovane attached to it

A prefect example of the words from a man who knows nothing about what he is talking about.
