A mate at work told me that his car hadn't been washed in at least 12 months so I offered to wash it for a him (makes me sound a bit mad, I know ). Could only do so much because of limited time (which is also why there are only a few before + after pics) but he's well chuffed with it and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
My process:
Didn't have access to a pressure washer unfortunately so just hosed down vigorously
Washed with Dodo Juice Sour Power
Dried
De-tarred with AG Intensive Tar Remover
Clayed with Bilt Hamber Autoclay
Rinsed and dried
1 coat of Poorboy's Black Hole
Dressed plastics with Chemical Guys NLTG and cleaned windows and wheel trims while that cured
Buffed off and applied Dodo Juice Purple Haze
Buffed off and admired for a while.
Time taken: Roughly 3 hours.

After:

It wasn't a full on detail so forgive me Didn't have time to go that in depth anyway, literally 5 mins after I finished he had to go out

Thought it might sound that way Nah we just got chatting and he said he couldn't be bothered to do it so I offered expecting him to say no, but he went for it
Yeah, it's a lad's car I know it's a bit gay but he doesn't care that much as long as it gets him around and is reliable.

Looks better. Hope theyre female and repay in kind.
Gf's sister wouldnt washed her car after she'd not washed it for 1.5 years
It was going green around the brake light all she could say was 'hmm I usually just let the rain wash it, but I guess the rain doesnt really scrub it, does it?' bless

Afraid they're not female Probably not much chance of borrowing the mrs seeing as they're engaged
1.5 years Sounds pretty shabby

Cheers Mark That was only about half of my normal 6 monthly hardcore wash
Too right Rich As said with the arches, I would usually do it but didn't have time today, plus it wasn't a full on detail or anything like that More of a Valetail

You still clean arches even if it's a valet!
Obviously easier when you've got access to a PW etc too though!

Maybe that's how you do it
Yeah definitely. The hose was only just long enough to get round the back of the car as it was. I even had to bring my own attachment for the end as he hasn't got one yet
