Been a long day today, train down from Norwich to London then over to Hastings to pick up this Show Condition treasured Classic Impreza. The car was previously owned by an administrator from Sussex Scoobies whom has had it for 8 years. He provided me x 2 A4 ring binders crammed full of EVERY invoice, MOT and Service Record since new!

Had a long drive back which gave ample time for testing and wanted to see how it compared to my previous Imprezas (WRX V3, STI V4 and V8 STi). Overall it is a very well setup and balanced car, the VF28 spools up fairly early and there is not much lag at all. The car stops very well with the Newage Brembo's (front and rear) and the Prodrive Bilstein setup with the ARB provides excellent cornering and does not sacrifice much ride comfort at all. I know it sits a bit high in the pictures but it really is an excellent balanced Chassis although probably better for fast road rather then track (Not focused enough).

Very pleased with it and you can see the condition in the photo's this really has been maintained to an excellent standard. I forgot how raw the classics are (after owning a newage) and its bloody uncomfortable and unrefined compared to my 330ci and will definitely be used as a 2nd Car during the Show Season. It's too mint to use as a daily and dare I say through the Winter.

The look of those alloys in the 2nd picture make it look 100 times worse than they probably are.

They are the bright flitter finish.

Sparkle in the sun, but this evening as it was getting dark then actually looked a light anthracite colour.

They go for a pretty penny 2nd hand so would be a waste to refurb them in a darker colour. Will see if they grow on me as I am really 50/50 at the moment.

Rich I am not sure if I can better it detailing wise. It does not need any paint correction at all and its pretty hard to get a good shine on Royal Silver IMHO but as the sun was going down earlier it was showing some pretty good reflections.

Think the wheels look a bit funny in the 2nd pic due to the tyre profile and grass
