Another thread about this car? It was posted last month for sale. He had spent 50k but over a period of years, you need to remember that bodyshops aren't cheap. all he has done now is changed his pics for even shitter ones.

TBH, it sounds quite a good spec, put some gsi/irmscher bumpers on, some nice wheels, normal bonnet and it would be spot on!

It wouldn't work as it has nova rear arches on it. had some serious work done to it. in 2002 that would have been cool, just mad how times change.

I dont know who is selling this car, but i do know they guy who sold it to him. he was travelling and needed the money to fund his trip so got a family member to sell the car for him. pictures do not do it justice, this car has been built to a very very high standard. i must admit styling is now out of date but i have no doubt 50k was spent on it. wouldnt even know where to start with the modifications. Not to my taste but definatly one of the best corsas ive ever seen in design, craftmanship and attention to detail

most people quote it, then when you actually check most arent
bit like most 'redtop corsas' seem to be approx 170hp with 80k on the engine.....

It is tho m8 it adz 40bhp coz itz costcast* m8
One thing I'm starting to get sick of is seeing everyone put things like redtop or 2.0 redtop or redtop turbo (granted that usually means C20XE converted to a turbo, I think) not all of them had a "red top" some had black.
*Deliberate mistake, I've seen many a mong spell it like that.

They are. The GM ones have a potential to go porous, the Coscast ones don't - I'd say that's a difference.
And Ronson, that's just being pernickety. Not everyone comes on forums and knows the engine codes, I wouldn't have been able to tell you that I had a c16se in my old astra before I started using them.

Coscast ones not going porous is a myth, they go porous as much as non ones

quote: Cosworth heads have COSCAST in raised lettering under there, GM heads have no badging under the port. Porous heads can be a problem - oil mixing with water. Watch out for mayo (not the county ) in the header tank. This mostly effects GM engineered heads, but can also happen on the COSCAST ones.
