My mate is currently at the top of Everest

Anybody interested in doing something like that? What have you achieved before now? Marathons etc..?

I've had a google and just seen prices of one company; http://www.alpineascents.com/everest-price-date.asp

Bit extreme isn't it, are there any cheaper companies?

I'm not into mountain climbing and stuff, but would love to do it, just so I can say "I've been to the top of Everest"

I would love to do it, just not as fit as I once was.

Did a 3 mile run for charity though, that has earned me some good points with God.

Not much to be honest. Cycling Lands End to John O'Grotes in the summer then doin the Three Peaks immediately after.

Also one day I will be able to say I drank all 1001 beers on that list.

Ridden about 45 miles from one side of Cumbria to the other mostly off road going over some of the biggest passes. It was grim.

I want to do the 3 peak challenge before I'm 30, hence my current get fit/lose fat campaign!

2.5years to do it.

Biggest achievement so far is not dying in the Fastnet race - 608Nm in 54hours of the roughest seas I've ever been in

Updating my phone would be the least ofg my worrys! Although 3 weeks on a mnt would be a bit soul destroying so a text could help

My mate did the 3 Peaks challenge with no prior training and to say hes not the fittest chap in the world would be an understatement.

I'm doing the Mens Health Survival of the Fittest this year but I wouldn't say that was a challenge.

He did it in 24 hours, should have seen the state of his feet after.

Didn't do none of that sailing business inbetween though.
