Saw the section that's being built in our yard the other day, it's massive! Tbf it was easy enough to get lost on the old ones, god knows what these will be like!

Apparently it's costing £1 million a day to make

This is better news. But what aircraft do they plan on putting on it? Sopwith Camels and converted Hurricanes?

They are going to be Cat launched now, the F35 order has been changed.

I reckon they will buy the F18 as a stop gap.

or they could they convert the Typhoon to Naval versions?

tbh, just bring the spitfire back.

So basically American crap? Why can't build something of our own? We didn't own most of the world some point by buying second class muskets from the Chinese.

Thing is we will spend stupid amounts converting the typhoons, and now the f35 is not going to be STOVL anyway the typhoons payload will be higher anyway, I say we cancel the f35 and have 2 squadrons on the carrier.

Hopefully they won't just wait for the f35, I don't want our carrier with nothing on it, or worse, french aircraft.

Not the f35c variant which we have switched from, we were originally buying the 'b' which would be a STOVL aircraft like our harrier, but it has a much less fuel capacity, and plus our carriers are big boys now!

Nope, c, the non vertical one.

We don't need a VTOL aircraft anyway, harriers were originally designed to operate from remote locations, that's not needed anymore, now we need greater range.

Its this or Astute and if they stop the Astute project, we'll never be able to build Submarines in the UK again
