im assuming this stuff would melt paint aswell?

eg if i had a painted area where a small edge had chipped off and beneath was rusty i couldnt apply to the rusty bit without some getting on the paint work, damage?

i've tried coke before and didn't seem to work for me.

i had been trying to clean that caliper up with a wire brush, wire brush on a drill to and even the dremel grinder, thats why the VW logo isn't there,
