Looked at 3 houses, one was a dump, one a possibility then one was perfect.

Had an offer accepted a week after the first viewing and moved in 6 weeks later.

Bit of fannying about with the mortgage, especially wanting bank statements delivered to my address when I don't get bank statements delivered got there in the end.

Anything with furniture in it is estate agents pictures, it's bare now.

Doesn't need anything done to live in, I'll just decorate as I come to it.
Possibility of knocking the kitchen and dining room into one, I'll see how things go, not for the near future.

My gun cabinet

Found this in the loft

I picked the TV up on Monday morning, got the keys on the way back and the original TV pictures I had only been in for a couple of hours.

As Hammer will confirm, that carpet really isn't as bad as the pictures, it's not good either though.

Garage needs a bit of work before winter, roof needs replaced and there's water pooling on the floor, it's possibly the roof causing it but more likely something under that decking.

I've just noticed that garage door looks really thin because of the way it's resized, it's just a standard width door.

Looks good John, fair size for a 1st house.

The 'Arsenal FC' carpet throughout would be the 1st thing in the skip

I've tried to sort they pictures again but photobucket is gay and doesn't seem to be resizing them properly.

Haven't got phoneline/internet yet either because BT and Sky are completely incompetent, have to wait 3 weeks.

You could maybe do Oliver & Sarah A a deal on the gun cabinet & carpets in return for some powder & painting.

Massive, have you bought alone, as that is a great looking family place, although shame about the size of the kitchen, I would definitely look to extend that into the D/R in the long term, especially as you are lucky enough to have a separate dining room to play with

As you said thought nothing needs doing to live in that, it's only where there is a woman in tow that carpets are lifted and walls painted

Not sure it's sensible telling you where I live Edd

With the gf Danny.
Kitchen isn't massive but it's not tiny either, would definitely benefit from being knocked through though I think.

Nice house!

How much did that set you back? We're still househunting at the moment.

That's lovely if not a bit extreme for a house for 2 people. But if it's cheap enough who cares! I'd definetly be having a cinema room

tbh graham, while you have a point, it is nice to have a house to ''grow into'' rather than something smaller like mine where i would need to move out if i had a couple of kids.

this is the same size house that we were going to move into except it fell through and i was gutted as it's perfect to live in for many years.

I was in no rush to move out so could have waited for something exactly like I wanted, luckily this turned up.

The rooms get used up quicker than you'd expect, 4 bedrooms means a master, guest then a room each.

Thought about making my room a cinema room but the big TV in the living room will do for now.
