Just a reminder of the rules, this is not allowed.

Reasonable question, answered unreasonably.
There are other examples. It's not acceptable and it's moderation time in cleaning up such a thread, hence my complaint.
If anyone has problems with content posted by other users, your three choices are report it to a member of staff, u2u the guy privately or ignore it.
I do not want other threads full of grudge spam to the point where it's almost expected that posts by a particular person will turn to shit.
It's work for the staff, it's not particularly supportive of the guy with the question and it makes us look like uppity wankers.

with all due respect the thread was posted on the wrong section anyway so maybe you should make another thread called "posting in the wrong sections" because that also must take up moderation time

also you are quite happy to post in other threads where there have been personal attacks made and you dont say anything such as

to be honest its another case on cs with one rule for one and one rule for another

That's an ongoing issue as well, and not exclusive to any single user.
It also doesn't mitigate some of the replies in there.

none of it bothers me, but what i am saying is you make a point about personal attacks but in that thread there was shed loads and yet nothing gets said? so it is okay to make personal attacks on people but only if they dont complain? great rules that is

Ian, who else is regular who moderates the rest of the site? off day/geek day etc as no one else seems to do anything except from me you and Willay, and I can only sort stuff in a few parts of the site.

If you mean personal attacks on the guy who made the Youtube video, he's not a long term member so any problem like that is confined to his short life-span on the thread. That isn't to say I'm not concerned, that is to say I'm not concerned enough to act on it. It is vaguely worrying that someone would come to the site and have posts like that directed to them, but it was borne out in the thread, hence letting it run to a few pages and engaging in conversation after the initial mud-throwing. Not everything like that needs edits and quiet u2us.
It's also a direct discussion about his Youtube vid and confined to one thread. My major issue with that web site one is that it's spilled over in to every thread that guy makes, which is more than an argument on the internet, it's a campaign of spoiling everything that guy is involved in and therefore lots more work to rectify.
And yes, the best way of having something done is to complain. That isn't the case in the web site thread, it's my concern having read it. But that would be the normal way.
