Does anyone know anything about fitting the arches, on a psg2 wide arch kit?? Cause i've been told that the new arch that comes with the kit goes over the original arch, but i keep seeing other corsa with the same kit on and bigger wheels like 18's. How is the possible if the new wider arch goes over the original arch????

the way i saw it while we were doing it, when the new arch is on you'd still see the old arch...

got the grinder out and cut most of the old arch away, needed to do this to get my ET35 18's on anyway, but hey...

Needs lowering tho...

u need 18's with this kit, any other wheels would look tiny i reckon

u'd get away with 17's

you have to remove the old arch AND cut the metal up about 1 1/2 inchs. mine are fitting by filling the back with fibreglass moulded to the shape of the car tehn glued on and screwed from the back with self tappers.

so what ur saying is, after the new arch is put on over the standard arch, u grind the orignal arch away from underneath so u can't see it??

well yeh, was a bit worried about arches staying on.

so did the cutting of the arch, filled the new fibre glass arches up and stuck them to the car. This was pretty secure, but used screws for extra hold (as with the skirts)

do it first mate, then its much easier to seal it to stop rusting. just hold the new ones up and see how much you need to remove.

cut away the old arch first

jesus mate, if you can't do it, don't. you'll fcuk it up
trial fit the kit first, pencil the bodywork to see wher you can grind up to, etc

archs arent on yet, ive got to do the skirts first.

I'm not doing it myself. the bodyshop's doing it, but i have to tell him what's involved so he can give me and estimate.

lol, i originally asked a body shop, they said £300 to fit the kit.

there's no fuckin way they would have cut away the arch and all the work we did to fit this. Bit worrying when grinding down the drivers side tho

best to take the car to the shop with the kit so they can see for themselves

I've seen his work and it's good, rally good. A few weeks back he was working on a porsche and i seen it yesterday and it looked immaculate!
