I am interested in the Dbilas dynamic FLOWTEC-inlet manifold for the Corsa C 1.2sxi Z12XE with TUV, i have been told by the company that sells them that i could expect upto 20bhp increase in performance by adding this.
The thing is i havnt been hearing alot of good about the dbillas inlet manifolds?
Ciuld u let help me out is this any good? i mean 20bhp cant be that bad?

sent REGAL an e-mail asking exactly what the Bhp increase would be Afer fitting the inlet Manifold would be, they recon after the cars been rolling roaded i should be getting 90-95bhp from this inlet manifold, this seems alot but then again it should be for £800!
has anyone else ever used Dbillas and do they live upto there claims?

ask them to give you a guaranteed minimum gain figure, if they have dealt with lots of them then they shouldquote you the lowest increase they have heard of or seen with the manifold.

Me mate bought a set of throttle bodies off em and they were a bastid to set up he took it back to em and got some resonable figures but its just about back to standard again now, not very good quality/fit either

its a corsa C m8, 2 litre wont fit it, the car will be used by me for work for the next few months (its really my birds and she wants it a bit more nippy )
No point thinking about engne conversion cos its too much hassle and i dont need a super-car (me other car fills that catagory)
Agreed £800 seems a bit much. i think SBD are going somthing for this engine (should be interesting).
Also a guy on mig web if offering me a turbo conversion for it!!!! should add a few BHP and a nice woooom,,,tissshh.

can't you sell it and buy a 1.6 or whatever it'd just seem easier. 20bhp is still phuck all on a 1.2

harldy call 95bhp phuck all
specially for a 1.2(75bhp) its my bird who wants it done (shes named the car now so theres no chance of selling!! )
its her money at the end of the day so she'll only end up wasting it on clothes or drink (never on me )
would be interesting just 2 see how much bhp could be optained tho?
inlet manifold =10-15bhp
full exhaust + filter + sports cat + 8bhp
cam = 9bhp
ECU = 5
turbo conversion = 25-30bhp
all together 132bhp not bad from a 1.2 16v?

would be easier to do an engine conversion that getting the turbo.

lacky lol uve got a vivid imagination mate lol 132bhp on a 1.2, their sturggleing to get that on a 1.4
tbh either slap in a 1.4 engine from a corsa c or just add NOS, their the only 2 relistic ways ur gonna get decent more power from the car
inlet manifold = 6-8bhp
exhaust+de-cat = 5bhp
cam = 4-5bhp
ECU = 3-4bhp
then with all that on a 1.2 if u dont want it to go pop u gotta start uprating internals, to much money, to much time and i dont even think all these products are out for a corsa c 1.2

Right, where do i start with this pile of bull.....
1. De-cat is not an option on corsa c 1.2 sxi as every time an mot comes round, you have to shell out another 400 quid to get a new cat
2. Cams - 10 bhp
3. ECU - 10bhp
4. Exhaust and filter - 10-12bhp
I should know, i was running 100bhp in mine, proven figures on a rolling road.
I was also quoted 35 bhp for turbo conversion as a minimum gain but yes that would also involve uprated internals

i will also add that these figures will vary. It all depends how good your engine is as standard and how well it is set up

Trying to get any realistic power gains out of a 1.2 isnt going to happen with out alot of money!
I have been down this road and to quite honest the best thing to do is get a bigger engine that is designed to cope wid the amount of force being shot at it!
There is a conversion kit for a corsa C and the 2.0 turbo conversion HAS been done!
However its alot harder due the the increase in the computer systems in the corsa C
If ur bird wants more power tel her to either do an conversion or change her car for one wid a bigger engine!
Hope this helps
