Isit worth paying the extra for a let over the xe ?
Engine would be going in a 1994 smoke grey gsi back end stripped with roll cage, just wondering if its eorth the let or is the xe more sutable ?

For a let you will need fairly big pockets. I went down the xe route to see me by. But the whole time I just wanted boost!

Try and have a passenger ride in a LET and you'll soon have your mind made up. XE in a Corsa is nippy but a LET is far more fun.

My dad has an mk3 astra gsi xe that feels fast but never been in a xe corsa ( not sure if a corsa xe would be much quicker )

Just bite the bullet and get a healthy let mate. It will put a massive smile on your face. Even my xe does to me but I could imagine a let would be insane lol

Ive had several XE corsas and they are quick. ive also had a let nova, corsa and mk3 astra gsi. the difference is amazing.

I sold my old let corsa and built another corsa XE and although it was fairly quick, it felt slow as shit in comparison to the let

but you will need deep pockets for a 'decent' let conversion

I have an XE in my Corsa and can't decide to go for throttle bodies and see 200-210bhp or the LET route.

I have a spare LET block here which I was going to start from scratch and build a good spec engine with it.

I just can't decide if I need the extra power over a tb'd XE.

XE is probably better suited for a Corsa but you'll always think "If only I'd got a LET"

If you want bends sell the Corsa and buy an early 172.

Power = LET. can easily spend a fortune doing it though.

decent RELIABLE 400bhp LET would set you back 4.5k-5.5k or so.

rods, pistons, billet fly, helix clutch, double springs, steel retainers, solid lifters, xe cams, verniers, decent ex manifold+turbo, standalone, bearings, rebuild parts, etc quite abit too spend to do a job properly

400bhp in a fwd corsa is overkill imo if you plan to use it on the road.

my nova was approx 300 and that was fucking mental
