One of the night managers at work was telling us the other day about this car he'd bought, said he spent his life savings on it and is very happy with it. We were all wondering what sort of car he was talking about, I imagined it would be a Ferrari or some sort...

...then he told us it was one of these:

and the best part is the price....

He paid £28,000 for it

Saw one in London the other week and couldn't believe how fucking ugly it was.

If car manufacturers want to make eco cars they should at least try and make them look nice.

No Fad hasn't got one it's a Fad/phase/fashion. It will be either superseded by a far more efficient model or a completely new fuel technology.

They're ok-ish, but they're based on existing cars. I mean new eco designs.

That Honda CRZ looks ok from the front, but then you see the rear and you vomit in your mouth.

I wouldn't mind a remapped bluemotion

Shame the electricity will be generated by burning stuff

And the batteries will be industrial waste, dumped on the shores or a remote Indian beach in 20 years

Zero emissions though, means you pay less tax because you're causing more damage to the environment than someone with a normal car who doesn't use it much

Its quite funny that there aren't really any cradle to grave enviromental impact analysis' of these so called 'eco' cars compared against having an old car...

The pictures of the factory that make the batteries for the prius are shocking - Nothing alive in a 20 mile radius

If you don't have your head up your arse then you can see you're not saving the world driving one. Most the chemicals needed for them come from South America and as Ian said, the batteries are industrial waste afterwards.

I remember hearing a Prius driver saying they didn't eat mangos because pf the 'food miles'
