Im selling my engine. Its a W reg 1.4 16v x14xe engine out of a corsa sport.

I bought it about 18 months ago when it had done only 8,000 miles. Has now done about 25000. Its had regular services and new oil and filter every 6k.

Since then I have bought a new immobiliser free ecu (200) so it will fit straight in with no problems. The loom only contains what is needed for a conversion so it will be plug and play.

I got the head ported and new valve stem seals fitted about 8000 miles ago, also new cam belt, head gasket etc.

Only mods are mantzel powerbox, janspeed 4-2-1 manifold and panel filter.
Had it rolling roaded at interpro mig rolling road day on sunday and it made 121bhp. Can show print out. The tuner said that it leans off at the top slightly and that a chip should add at least another 5bhp, thats at the current rev limit so with the increased one it would be a lot more. It pulled right onto the limiter.

I am keeping the exhaust but will sell the engine for 500 and the mantzel for 300. Or a deal for both. I“ve also got some courtenay cams for this engine that I want 120 for.

I can send it nationwide for an extra 50 on a pallet.

Its only group 6. Im near plymouth.

Im in majorca on holiday at the moment so may take a while to reply.

Cheers

I have the rolling road print out to prove it. I think that power is quiet realistic given the tunability of these engines. The mantzel is powder coated in anthracite, I“ll do the rocker cover in it to match with a stainless plug shield if the price is right. Im looking for 800 for the engine and mantzel. But will do it for 875 for the lot. That doesn“t include the janspeed manifold cause Im keeping it for my new engine. I will have the standard cast one though.

90BHP as standard
Manztel - 15-20bhp
headwork - 5-7bhp
manifold - 5bhp

That could easily make 121bhp, dont know why people are disputing it??

Someone buy it whack the cams in, map it with a dastec and you`ve got a potent little engine there.

Thanks rick and setH.

The reason I got this engine in the first place was because I was 18 and couldn't insure a 2.0 16v (and still cant). Its group 6!

Find me another alternitive for a young person to get 121bhp with group 6.

Comparing this engine to a c20xe is stupid. Its like saying why buy a corsa sport for £3k when for £400 you can buy an astra GTE 16v.

These engines go for about £350-£400 with about 60-70k, so I think for 25,000 miles, a ported head, recent cam belt etc and PROVEN performace is well worth an extra £100. Then theres the fact that the loom is already modded for a conversion and the ecu is immobiliser free, which believe me, saves a lot of hassle.

This engine could easily be fitted to a corsa or nova in a day.

I would agree with that power gain!
Also, I would prefer the small block motor to the 2 litre, for soooooooooo many reasons!

Good luck mate!

It should only be a day or two at the most work to fit by someone competant.

Wouldn't like to say about the 0-60.

Shipping is £50, I think that covers scotland.
