Currently in Belamedina, Spain and have been drinking alot of tap water, thinking it would be relatively safe these days.
The last few evenings my stomach has been turning but has been fine.
Last night my body gave in and is now trying to purge everything violently out of both ends, it's non stop
On top of that the little one has also had it.

I thought if you boil water it's not too bad, but the misses thinks it'll contain minerals our bodies are not used to which won't be removed when boiled.

Any thoughts/comments?

How long ago was that?
I've been drinking a fair bit on and off but possibly too much yesterday which has set me off.

Always best to stick to bottled water when abroad. Alot of countries sewerage systems aren't up to much.

It depends where the water is coming from.. In the med a lot of it comes from wells, its filtered and stored but no chlorine is added.

They say these days it's safe from bacteria etc. Especially in large developed resorts where the infrastructure has grown with tourism.

The main issue is with the different minerals that we are not used to, hence the shits.

Was blaming the food last night, until the early hours, I realised as I hydrating myself after being sick, my stomach was instantly trying to get rid of it.

I'm now unsure whether to leave it a while before going back to bottled water incase my body is purging everything it can.
Having a day indoors today, very thirsty tho

I think it must be the chemicals rather than minerals because at a place I go to in Spain theres a natural spring that we go and fill loads of bottles up from for our drinking water. Never been ill off it and it tastes really nice too.
