Well i would be better starting by saying hi to all, Just joined the forum cause i hav just bought a 1.6 16v sport in blue( dont know what blue it is). Only problem is i've not got it qiute yet. We pick it up next weekend so gives me time to clear out the garage (Its home for the next few years) The plan is to strip it completely And rebuild it back to near showroom. No engine transplant either, Keeping the original x16 in it With a few choice mod of course.

Will stick a few pics of the car up when we get it next week, The reason for doing this up is i'm now bored. Both mine an the wifes car are just the way we want them now and if i dont get another project i might start changing the others and i dont want to.

Here's a few pics of the 2 i own already, Hope you like..........

The wifes car...After 9 months of hard work

And a few of my pride an joy......

Anyway hope you like and like i say, Pics of the new toy to follow soon

Hi for now

Chris

Finally picked the corsa up tonight and drove it straight to the garage where its going to live for the next few years. It seems to drive fine with no bad noises from the engine. With just the small drive it got it needs a wheel bearing, the exhaust fixed an the tracking done. All small things considering the plans i have for the car. Will get some pics of the car at the weekend for you all to see

Finally got round to taking some pictures of my new Toy/Project today and had a really good look round it, As far as i can see for now i'm going to replace the drivers door, boot lid, bonnet and passenger wing. The rest of the car can be repaired easily. Theres a good few scratches on it and there laquer coming of on the boot but as said that is getting changed. Really thinking about changing the colour aswell but not sure to what yet.

Well after i'm done cleaning the mini the mora i might make a start taking some of the interior out, Might even sell some of the interior at some point( in 2 minds wether to strip it out with just 2 seats or leave it as a 4 seater.

Anyway enough talking and on with the pics..................

And a couple of the worst bits of the car

I'm not sure if to keep these wheels on or go for a set of speedlines, An like i said a dont think it will be staying blue.

Cheers for looking guys and any comments welcome

Well just a quick update.

Started stripping the interior out today, Not going to have much interior in it when i'm finished. So there will be a full sport interior going up for sale pretty soon. From the front door cards all the way back including all plastics, door cards, seat. The lot accept the carpet. Dont know if to keep a carpet in, Just need to find an old carsa seat to put in for the time being

Anyway, Small update time.......

More stripping to be done wednesday night if plans dont change before then.

Now on the hunt for a set of steel wheels for it, think i'm going to change the wheels to 15s so the sofstars will be going up for sale very soon. Just need to find 14 or 15" steelies for now. If anyone near me has any just let me know. The tyres dont need to be legal, There just going to be sittin on the car in the garage. Needs to be rolled in an out of garage thats all. Cheers

Couple more pics.........

Will be the weekend now before i get back to the car.

Any ideas on an easy way to strip all the stuff of the floor of the car apart from a scraper an heat gun?

Been hard at it again today an will try to get a few hours at it the mora. The interior is finally all out and with the help of a heat gun an scraper all the sound deading on the floor is all up. That stuff is pretty heavy so less weight now.

Will get a few more pics the mora of progress so far, And if anyone is looking for a sport interior just u2u me.

Unfortunately it says i have Insufficient Privileges to Post in the classified section. Not enough posts or not been a member long enough yet.

If a mod wants to delete this then thats cool

I have ripped the complete interior out of my blue 98 corsa sport and now need it gone before the 21st (parents get back from holiday an its in there house lol) So pretty much any kind of offer an you can have the lot. The only things you dont get are the carpet, the sill covers and the ecu cover both side. Everything else must go. If your interested just u2u me cheers.

On another note, I got the rear arches and bumper of the day an started to wire brush the insides. Need to get the inside ready to paint. Will update with a few pics the mora night

Now got some of the front end stripped of the car, Also running out of finger tips after rubbing the inside of the car to get rid of all the gluey tar on the floor. Got about half the car done so far. Will be back to it this weekend to try get the rest cleaned up.

Got a welder mate coming to have a look at the rusty grommet holes for me and to figure out where and how to mount the battery in the car. Thinking about behind the passenger seat. Also the painter is coming to give me some tips for painting my interior at some piont this week i hope.

Anyway few wee pics

i got my sound deadening off by tapping it with a small hammer in different places, then it mostly just shattered and came up in big sheets, ended up putting my carpet back down after i'd took it all out though

Thought it was about time for a wee quick update.

Finished stripping the interior as far as i need it, on the look out for a set of seats for it now. Don't know what seats to go for yet, My bro has a set of escort rs turbo seats in the shed i was looking at getting retrimmed or a set of vec gsi fronts. The battery is about ready to get moved into the car ( behind passenger seat) and started getting rid of all unwanted stuff from under the bonnet.

Eventually got round to fitting my new springs to the rear of the car. Seeing the gap after taking the interior out i thought it cant stay like that so in went the springs. So much happier

Anyway a couple of pics

Before

After

Will stick a few more pics up once i get a bit more done. Just been doing all the little bits an peices the now.

Cheers

Chris
