Does anyone on the site Commute to work on a scooter rather than their car? I've noticed a few people at work have bought 50cc's to go to
Work and back. It's about 20mins/ half an hour drive & I'm thinking of doing the same.
Anyone else thought about this?

I bought a Vespa to mince around on.
Great fun
50cc is a bit lame though. 125cc has enough poke.
£16 to tax for the year

1 week on a 50cc and you would be bored out your head, 125 isnt much better but it's still better.

125cc is enough for popping to work and back. It's something I toy with but I use a couple of dual carriageways and a long NSL road

Was thinking of a 50cc so I can use it on my car licence & not have to take a cbt for a 125cc.

CBT is a piece of piss.
You'd want to cry if you get a piddly 50cc.

Every biker does it, but it is illegal to filter through traffic. Don't see how you get longer in bed either and if the bike's for commuting I suppose he'll want something cheap not something that does 100mph.

I was told it was, but I've just looked it up and sorry it's not.

I've seen a few on eBay local which I'm currently watching. One that's got my eye is a Aprillia rs50 which needs work.

I ride my BMX to work a couple of times a week, stops me stiffening up in-between snowboarding sessions.
Should do it five days really, it would save me a fortune!

dont get a second hand RS50, it will be fucked!
they are a very tuned engine standard and they dont last a long time.
A simple 125cc 4 stroke will be great. The CBR125 is a really good bike and unristircted will do about 90mph ish.
I used to comute on a CBR400 untill i had a bad crash one day.
Now i only commute by car and have a enduro bike for fun and weekends.

I used to ride a 30 mile round trip to college on a Kawasaki BN125 Wasn't the fastest thing ever but was really easy to ride and comfortable. Was even alright with someone on the back too.
