Looks like one of these is going to be the winter hack once the focus is sold, allowing me to save cash for the next toy.

All I know is its a 1997 black and been well looked after by an ex military mechanic. The air suspensions been binned for coil suspension.

What generally to look for when I go to see it? I've been in it before and it took me 400 miles without any issues I'm quite confident it's a good one. No visable rust I'll get under it and check there too. Quite excited tbh

BMW engine I think, have a few hot start problems apparently.
Air suspension fucks up a lot but obviously not a problem on that one.

main problems with ranges is elsectrics, if they start to go its normally a chain reaction and can cost a lot of money.

make sure the auto box works well, kick down etc etc. and listen out for diff whine from the rear, can lead to £££.

dont BMW and Merc (i think) put there engine blocks to one side to cool naturally for a large period of time to prevent misshape or something??

havent heard anything bad about them tbh

Great cars (Used to drive a Vogue) But beware the P38'sare SHITE.

My Dads 3year old one fell to peices.


One of the best cars ive ever driven and seriously practical. But its a rover so bits fall off, a lot.

In terms of quality Colin yes, great cars though. Id love one. Grey on the later spec Vogue wheels with tints.

I want to save cash til next summer and then see what 997 prices are like, if there still too much i'll get a speed yellow 996 Turbo.

A RR/4x4 is also on my wish list so why no enjoy that over winter!!
