Hello,
I thought I'd post this link here as I'm sure that many of you want to keep your paintwork as free from scratches as possible.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nj1uSQOYCJQ
In this video I am quite serious, I hate bad, or hazy paint ruined by lazy washing.
See what you think.

I wash mine with a normal yellow sponge you get from halfords / general car stores, not a brillo pad.

@ this video!
You shouldn't use a sponge. Use a lambswool wash mitt. A sponge will scratch your paint more.
As davieslim said, chamois are out dated now too. Use a drying towel, but don't rub the paint, simply lay the towel on the wet bodywork and lift it off again, or dab it. A chamois can scratch your paint.

There's nothing wrong with a sponge or a leather, what's important is that they are clean. Neither can scratch the paint without dirt.
My car doesn't have any micro-scratches and neither did my previous motor after three years of ownership.

That comment says more about yourself than it does me - take a look at your profile picture.

Oh god not you again.
The videos you make are shit and useless. They're boring, unamusing and you're a sad act.
For a 'serious' video, it's also useless and shit and full of naff, cheap skate information and guidance I wouldn't consider using to wash the shit off my boots.
Ian, ban this fool. He's a smelly greebo.
