These are looking like a pretty good buy at the moment, back on an 04/05 plate can be had for what I think to be good money.
Any reason why I shouldn't consider one, and are they any particularly good forums out there rather than me picking the first one off google?

Mate had one, very nice cars. You will have to await hairdresser/girls car comments from people driving underpowered fwd shopping trolleys though.
3.0l is the one to get

Oh and they are rubbish in snow.
But the other 364 days a year it will work fine. Very small car inside though not much room for luggage etc

3.0 might be getting silly on insurance, I'll do my best, but even the 2.2s performance is decent in my eyes.
As for hairdresser comments, not bothered. I walk to work most days, seldom have more than one passenger, don't carry shit so no room inside is fine

I like them actually, always wanted it's older brother Z3 when i was younger. I like the style of them as it's not exactly like a Z3, and they are bloody quick.

Lovely cars, very small inside, drive VERY well.
Unless you are like hugely bothered about speed the 2.0 is a good buy, miles better on the juice than the 2.2 and it isn't in the top £260 tax band that will just keep going up.
I want a Z3 2.8i though

Hmm, theres a 2.2 down the road with a dealer I might go test drive this afternoon. 2.2 with 90k miles for way too much money but at least I can see what they drive like and interior first hand....

Girl car imo. Mum's had loads of them. Cramped, rough ride and generally uncomfortable all round. Not for me.

S2000 have been coming up with ridiculous insurance quotes, Z4 seems much better for some reason.
