Its so easy! The 991 is instantly distinguishable from the 997. The 997 is very different from the 996, and the 993 outshines them all!

cayman, boxster etc all have the same shape, lights etc to the 911. confuses me a little. when i first started driving i just thought ''porsche, must be rich'' because they all looked similar.
now you obviously notice the size different and then other features.

you could say that about any cars though, focus st's and 1.6's or M3's and 316's.
the 911's are different enough to tell the difference but because clarkson says they look the same everyone jumps on the bandwagon and says they cant tell the difference between a 2011 model or a 1980 model.
