How well do you think you'd survive/be able to work if you didn't have the use of things like mobile phones and computers/the Internet?

would have to go and knock for my mates again or arrange to all meet at the bus stop/park at a time and wait around for them to turn up.

Theres an app on my phone which I use around 20 times a day, to send out quotes and invoices. Without it, i'd be seriously lost!

I rely on technology for a livelihood too, so would be pretty screwed if it didn't work.

phone doesn't bother me, quite often leave it somewhere for a day or two. I am addicted to the net though but haven't got access at my house (having walls and a kitchen is more of a priority) and I don't miss it over the weekend particularly. The C5 has a broken drive belt at the minute and I'm missing that more as I actually have to walk to the pub now

As long as I can ring or text off a phone I'm happy, not bothered about phones really. Was happy enough playing Sonic and such growing up, no internet or anything. It's fine when you don't know any different.

If the internet didn't come about or certain phones/gadgets weren't invented it wouldn't be a problem, if we suddenly lost everything and didn't have the internet or things like that then a lot of people and businesses couldn't cope and would soon go under.

^ As Danny really.

Would love to not have a phone, internet doesn't bother me either, would just play golf all the time instead of sitting on my arse.

I'm glad I grew up as a kid when I did too, meant I & most people on here had an active childhood, going out on bikes, playing football, usual kid shit. Also learned a lot about technology due to it evolving so rapidly during early teens.

I fear this isn't happening today with modern youth.

Ironic that children of today exercise using a games console. When I was young I was out climbing conker tress and playing knock and run. when I came in at 6 for tea I'd stay in and switch the mega drive on for fucking hours.

Getting green trainers from slamming your foot down on conkers ftw. I had a tree in my garden, so always had the biggest motherfucker going, when everybody came round they all had shitters.

Cant do most of that stuff now though. I remember when i was younger, during summer holidays me, my brothers and loads of people use to build dens in the trees etc. A guy actually called to police and tried to get use done for vandalism, we were like 9 years old ffs.

Playing football is fine, if you can find a place that isnt covered in dog shit.

my job would suck donkey balls if we didn't have todays technology. I rely on computers, plc's, HMI's etc. back in the day everything was done with relays and hard wiring. fault finding systems like that was a major hassle!

You actually had to talk to people when there were no phones or internet. And you also had to sneak up the forest and look for scud books to have a wank over.

What grim times we lived in.

I used to ring round my mates every Friday night to sort out the night out!

I was playing games on a Texas TI when I was about 5-6 so I can't remember not having a computer! Still got it by the way.
